CalendarSushi for Beginners 1 Wednesday March 31, 2010 MENU First Course MISO SOUP Tofu, Seaweed, Mushrooms and Fresh Scallions Main Course ASSORTED SUSHI ROLLS In this section you will learn how to prepare: Cook and Season Sushi rice Cut Assorted Fish Fillet Appropriately Slice a Verity of Vegetables Proper use of rolling mat Create Makizushi (Rolled Sushi) Create Futomaki (Fat Sushi Rolls) Create Hosomaki (Thin Sushi Rolls) Create Uramaki (Inside Out Sushi Rolls) Dessert GINGER – APPLE STRUDEL Crusty Dough, Tart Kiwi Glaze DESCRIPTION This class is focused on basic sushi making. All condiments (soy sauce, spicy mayo, pickled ginger, eel sauce and wasabi) will be provided.
Dinner will be served family style, so that all of our guests would be able to enjoy a variety of sushi rolls. My Cooking Party takes a different approach to cooking classes, making them feel like a dinner party. Upon arrival you'll enjoy complimentary red and white wine and small bites. Once all the guests arrived our leading chefs will direct you to the working station where you'll be prompt to put your apron on and an interactive cooking demonstration will take place. Our chefs will then "put you to work". Upbeat Music will be playing in the background creating a fun and relaxing atmosphere. at the completion on the cooking session you will proceed to the dining table to enjoy the 4 start meal you cooked.
